Water Marbling !!

Water marbling is my current favorite technique and in a way when I started into nail art, I was always fascinated with how designs were made in water and the best part being that no two fingers were same like the usual art which we do. The uncertainty which water marbling provides and when I see the result, they are just superb. :)

Today, I used just two colors for the marbling.  One being a light blue shade from Coloressence and the other shade is from Maybelline Colorama Noite De Gala (a deep purple).

First, I painted my nails with a base coat (jordana) and then painted it with the light blue color and then did the marbling.

This is the base coat of light blue...

Now the results of water marbling:

Do comment and let me know how they look.

Thanks,

Monalisa !

Purple Gradient with Stamping

Hi all,

Today's nail art is pretty simple and anyone can do it :)

Things Required:
A makeup sponge
Nail polishes (preferably 3): I chose 3 shades of purple
Konad Stamping Plate #m2
Konad White Special Polish
Glitter for decoration (if wanted)

First apply a base coat to protect the nails, I use Jordana Nail Strengthener as my base coat, and apply a coat of white nail polish (used Lakme Color Crush 08), let it dry. Then on a makeup sponge make 3 layers of the colors, starting from the dark shade of purple to the lighter and then the lightest. Sponge these over the nails and if required do a second sponging by reapplying the colors to the sponge.  Apply a fasting drying top coat (used Maybelline express finish top coat) to blend the colors well.  This is how the gradient looks like.

Now once it completely dries, stamp with the Konad stamping plate and polish.  Once done, apply small sequins with the help of the top coat on the 2 tiny flowers to decorate and finally apply a generous amount of top coat to make the design last longer.  This is how the final manicure looks like.
